In 2020, we maintained the project to build one of the world’s largest DWP plants, LD Celulose.This project was born from a joint venture with Austria’s Lenzing AG and forecasts the production of 500,00 metric tons/year, with operations set to start in 2022.
- Duratex’s investment of R$523.1 million in cash and contribution in forests equivalent to R$487.0 million in the year;
- 48.0% of plant construction completed in December 2020; and
- The project stayed on schedule and on budget, even during the most critical periods of the pandemic.
